Gail Jarrett, Director & Registered Manager

Gail founded Bridge Care Services in January 2000 when she returned to the UK from Canada after a 30 year absence.. From small beginnings (one client, two members of staff, working from her home), the company has steadily grown into the operation it is today. She has 30 years management experience, the latter 16 in the field of social care.   Gail often says she would like to retire but she is still very committed to providing quality care to all our clients and to the development of Bridge Care Services and its staff. We don’t think retirement will be happening just yet!   Gail has a community rehabilitation practitioner qualification from Canada and a Registered Manager Award.

Linda Griffiths, Operations Manager

Linda has been part of the team at Bridge Care more than 15 years.. She joined our team as part-time Office Manager and moved to her current role of Operations Manager in 2009 after gaining her Registered Manager’s Award.   Her job involves overseeing the operational side of the business, as well as being responsible for human resources and staff recruitment and training.   Linda says, “My job is always challenging and varied and I have a real commitment to the service we provide in the community”.

Sonia Garside, Office Manager

Sonia joined Bridge Care Services as Office Manager in 2008 and really enjoys her role.    Her duties include invoicing, payroll and general administration.    Sonia holds a NVQ Level 3 Management Award. She says, “I enjoy the many conversations I have with clients …. it is very rewarding when you feel you have made a difference – sometimes by just being on the other end of the ‘phone.   When someone needs you, it makes me SMILE”

Kelly Barton, Quality Assurance Manager

Kelly began her journey with Bridge Care nine years ago as a community care worker.  In 2009, she assumed the role of Quality Assurance Manager. This involves visiting new service users, completing assessments and reviews, as well as performing staff observations and spot checks.  She is also part of the ‘on call’ duty team and provides staff training. Truly a multi-tasker, Kelly says, “My role is really challenging but offers infinite variety and is very rewarding.  I am never bored! I particularly enjoy meeting service users and their families”. Kelly holds an NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care and is currently working towards a Level 5 management diploma. Kelly has currently taken on a whole new challenge providing maternity cover for Vicky McAvoy, our Maid4You Manager

Helen Edwards, Care Manager/Co-ordinator & Assessor

Helen joined Bridge Care in 2002 as a community care worker, before taking up numerous roles within the company. In addition to acting as care manager /co-ordinator for the Offerton area she also carries out assessments and reviews and provides moving and handling training to our staff.. I have NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifications in health and social care, and hold a Registered Manager’s Award.  Helen says, “I have seen a great many changes over the years but enjoy my various roles and knowing that Bridge Care are providing a  quality support services for people in the community who are in need.”

Christine Prince, Care Manager/Co-ordinator

Chris joined Bridge Care Services in April 2001 as a community care worker and progressed ito her current role as line manager for the Romiley, Bredbury & Woodley areas in 2007. She has achieved NVQ level 2 & 3 qualifications in health and social care and a QCF level 5 diploma in care management . She says, “I find my role challenging at times but very satisfying. I feel I have a good relationship with staff & service users alike.”

Heather Burgess, Care Manager/Co-ordinator

Heather started her journey with Bridge Care Services in 2001 as a community care worker. She completed her NVQ Level 2 and 3 in health and social care and is a valuable member of the team. She acquired a job in the office in 2009 and took on the role of co-ordinator for the Marple area. Heather continued to develop her skills by completing a co-ordinators course and level 3 in management. A truly up beat and enthusiastic person who is hard working and very conscientious.

Vicky McAvoy, Manager, Maid4You

Vicky began her journey with Bridge Care in 2009 after finishing a BA hons degree at Manchester University. She spent five years in the fashion industry before coming back to join us as the manager of Maid4you in 2014. She is very enthusiastic and realises the importance of a good relationship between clients and her team and endeavours to do her best to make sure everybody is happy with the service provided.   Vicky is currently on maternity leave but will be back later this year. Kelly Barton has taken over her role in the meantime.
